The Old Lie: New-Age Masculine Frame

A fantasy for adolescents of all ages

Jerr, the author of The Wall Speaks, a book aimed at helping men shatter the feminine frame of authority, recently summarised his concept of masculine frame on X. Ironically, its similarities to the wooly, feel-good feminist psychology of the New Age movement are striking. Underlying its incoherence, however, is the oldest lie of all. And when scrutinised, it all unravels.

A useful general rule is that what’s true isn’t new and what’s new isn’t true. The concept of frame, insofar as it’s true, adds nothing to integrity. Frame isn’t Jerr’s term and has been described by Rollo Tomassi, another red pill writer, has “an often subconscious, mutually acknowledged personal narrative” within which the relationship develops.

A man in his own way can’t lead a woman. Who is he? What are his values? What is his mission? As Rivelino (another red pill writer) adds, “If a man can be manipulated, pressured, or distracted by others, he has a weak frame.” And when a man sacrifices his personal narrative for a woman, he’s a simp.

Christianity and Frame

None of this is new, and the Bible said it all better.

In the Book of Numbers 25: 1-3, we read about Moses and the Moabites:

1 AND Israel at that time abode in Settim, and the people committed fornication with the daughters of Moab,

2 Who called them to their sacrifices. And they ate of them, and adored their gods.

3 And Israel was initiated to Beelphegor:

Balaak, the king of the Moabites, hired Balaam, a prophet-for-hire, to curse Israel. Balaak had seen the progress and might of Israel and was trying to do something that would stop them. Balaam took the money but was unable to curse Israel because the Lord would not allow him to do so. Instead, Balaam cunningly ordered thousands of women to go to the Israeli encampment. If the Israelites could be lured into idol worship, Balaam knew that God Himself would curse them.

As Balaam expected, the Israelite men immediately start having regular sex with the Moabite women. They then invited the Israelite men to their religious sacrifices, and the Israelite men went with them and ate the sacrificial meal. The men bowed down to the pagan idols and engaged in “sacred” sex because Baal Peor was a fertility “god”.

It was a mass loss of frame. Balaam used simping as a weapon of warfare. Even the chief leaders of both the Israelites and the Midianites were involved—in broad daylight—in this orgy, and a critical mass of Israel was yoked to Baal Peor. At God’s command, Moses then killed everyone involved — Moabites, Midianites and Israelites — totalling 24,000 offenders.

The Christian concept of frame, then, is simple: “Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is all man." (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

The Sexual Revolution and Simping

Feminism, too, used simping as a weapon of warfare. Wilhelm Reich, a member of the Frankfurt School, said that ‘the sexual process has always been the core of the cultural process.’ This is because the family is the foundation of society. As the family goes, so goes society. And since the radicals wanted to restructure society, they knew they had to destabilise the family.

How? By promoting promiscuity. Kate Millett and other feminists were explicitly clear about this. Feminism would promote “free love” to enslave men to lust. To control men, get them by the balls — literally. Marcuse, another Frankfurt School member, called feminism “the most important and potentially the most radical movement that we have.”

Again, this is a Christian truth. The devil went for Eve first. As St. Bernard said, “The human race is brought under the power of the devil more by lust than by all the other vices." Simping is Satanic. Adam lost frame when he ate the apple Eve gave him. A man can either bow down to God (maintain frame) or get bent over by the devil.

Like Balaam, and like the devil in Eden, the feminist radicals wanted to make men’s values downstream of whatever the hot girls want. And they have succeeded so well that now the popular understanding of what it means to be an “alpha male” is indistinguishable from what it means to be feminist: stay single, get paid and get laid.

The Old Lie and New Age Masculinity

It should be clear from this that there is no masculinity without chastity, including celibacy before marriage. This is why Christian knights swore a vow of celibacy: mission first, no simping. The man who’s a slave to his impulses is weak. The man who can master them is strong. And the greatest test of his will-power is the most powerful drive in human life: the sex drive.

It amuses me when atheists call Christianity wish fulfilment — the longing to feel comforted by a “sky daddy”. It would be more accurate to say that atheism is wish fulfilment. Even when atheism doesn’t begin in unchastity, it usually ends in it. As Aquinas said, lust produces ‘blindness of mind.’

The greatest temptation, as William Vallicella wrote recently, ‘is the temptation to think that nothing finite finally matters; that there is nothing that is not finite’. Indulge. You will not be judged when you die. Make your own meaning. Be your own master.

According to Jerr, this is ‘the secret to having ultimate frame’:

You are already dead. The great human experiment marches over your grave. Your name is forgotten. Your troubles and worries were the anxious breathing of a dying animal. Your blood flows only to stop. Your body is designed to feed the earth. You are already dead.

Note how much easier this is than Christianity. No soul to worry about — what a relief! You’re just a ‘dying animal,’ so frolic in the field like a bull.

It leads to a totally different outlook on life:

Now you can be reborn. There is only redemption. There is nothing else. We are born upside down and turned around. We stumble out of the womb and fall into the grave. But we stand for a short time. We stand on this dusty rock for a short time. We are able to run and chase game for a short time.

Seize the day, bro. You do you. Predictably, chasing ‘game’ — fornicating — is a high priority. Imagine my surprise.

And now the incoherence starts:

We have a will for a short time. What is that will? The greatest thing I have ever told myself is “DEATH IS ONLY PHYSICAL.” Life is only physical. It is a physical reaction to death. Everything you know is dead. Everybody you know is dead. There is only your individual will. And what is that will? You were gifted a memory of the past that separates you from the screaming locusts. You understand what to sacrifice to become reborn. You have the power of letting go of failure and starting again. There is only the present moment. Past and future do not exist. They have never existed. Only this moment exists. Only the breath exists and then it is gone.

If life is only physical, only matter exists. And matter obeys the laws of physics, which are either deterministic or stochastic, i.e., random. There is no place for free will. That is why materialists who understand what they are talking about deny its existence. But Jerr doesn’t understand what he is talking about. The idea that the faculty of memory separates man from the other animals is silly. And the idea that memory could matter if the past ‘never existed’ is even sillier.

It’s a rehashing of Nietzsche so bad that would it make a teenager embarrassed:

But we are together in our moment. Men who will be soon be [sic] dead together. That is the eternal brotherhood of oblivion. But not yet. See? Everything in your mind can be destroyed. Do you want a new life? Do you want another chance at life? First you must destroy not just the painful fruit of memory but shape a new memory in its place. This is what it means to be born again. Know what you most hate above all things. Not this wicked world but how the world reflects your own self loathing.

Man, in other words, must become the superman he dreams of being — again, Nietzsche’s idea. Logically, it leads to transgenderism. If a man can be born again and be whatever he wants, he can be a woman (another ironic intersection between New Age masculinity and feminism, which said there’s no essential difference between men and women).

Get ready to slay, queens, because shit’s about to get lit:

Shape yourself around the self hatred by becoming the warring force that opposes it. Become whatever you need to survive. Become the light that overwhelms the darkness. Become the new order and destroy the old order. Become not a spirit of cowardice but a spirit of bravery. Become not a beggar to what is but a provider for what could possibly be. All things are possible only when we gift ourselves the optimism of becoming. A man can be rebuilt, rebooted and reborn.

Become the light. Gift yourself. You go, girl.

Spiritually, the lie here is that perfection is man’s to give:

A man can be redeemed. We must become born again together. We must awaken to the power of impossible things. We must shape all reality around our will to become. No man can make you doubt yourself. No man can steal your light. No man can stop the overwhelming force that creates and shapes this reality. But one man can change himself and one man can change the world.

Whereas Christ said that none of us ‘by taking thought can add one cubit’ to our stature, the idea that we can ‘shape all reality around our will to become’ is essentially a rejection of our status as creatures. As Satan whispered to Eve, ye shall be as gods.

It’s a cult of free will based on a worldview with no place for free will. And it appeals to adolescents of all ages, who don’t want to be held accountable for their actions. But ultimately it’s based on pride and the idea that we can save ourselves:

Infinite resurrection. The will to life. The will to power. Eternal suffering. Holy, holy, holy. Ancient power that flows through me to you and from you to me. Holy, holy, holy. Paradise on earth. New world that reflects our becoming. This is the cult of frame. Shoulders back. Chin towards God.

‘Paradise on earth' is the core of the liberal delusion of infinite, unlimited progress. ‘Ancient power’ flowing from man to man in giant circle jerk. And since ‘life is only physical’, remember, God — a Spirit — doesn’t exist. “Chin towards God,” then, must just mean admiring the man in the mirror.
